From the above it can be concluded that registration of the media is necessary not only for those information sources for which this requirement is a prerequisite for the production and release of information products (printed media, radio, television and video programs), but also for other information resources (including Internet portals and sites), distributing text, audio and audiovisual products on a periodic basis (electronic media).

Media registration is performed by Roscomnadzor within 30 days from the date of submission of the full set of documents for registration. A mass media is considered registered from the date of issuance of the certificate of mass media registration.

Media Registration requires submission of the necessary documents to Roscomnadzor as well as payment of a duty. For registration of printed media, we need the following documents:

1. Application for registration of mass media

2. Documents on the actual address of the founder.

3. Document certifying payment of the state fee

4. Letter of Attorney for submission of the documents and conduction of the registration in the registering authority, as well as for receipt of the certificate of mass media registration.

5. Extract from USRLE (for all founders - legal entities) in its original form or its notarized copy;

6. Passport copy certified in accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation (when the application is submitted by the founder – an individual person);

7. Covering letter with a list of contents.

8. Lever arch folder.

In accordance with the legislation, Roscomnadzor considers the application within a month and issues a certificate of mass media registration.
